Your first session

What a first session covers

A first session is usually the long one, 80 minutes, so there is no rush, and you can ask for 50. Nothing happens that is not explained first, and you can stop or ask a question at any point.

What we do not do

What a first session is not

It is not a diagnosis, and it does not promise a number of sessions. It is not crisis care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988; in an emergency, call 911.

There is no intake paperwork in the room. Any forms come to you beforehand, through the practice's own portal.

Questions

Three questions about the first session

How long is it?

Usually 80 minutes. You can ask for 50.

Can I bring someone?

Yes, for the first few minutes, if that helps you arrive. Tell us when you write.

Do I have to talk about everything?

No. You choose what to share and when.

Ready for a first session?

Write with the times that suit you, and your fee comes to you in writing first.
