Sessions

Three ways to meet

  • A dark curtain drawn back from a window with white panes
    30, 50 or 80 minutes

    The low-stimulation session

Soft light, an easy pace, room for silence and a camera that can stay off. The same counseling, with the volume down.

    About the low-stimulation session
  • A handwritten journal, a cup of coffee and glasses on rumpled linen
    In the office

    Individual therapy

Talk therapy for adults who take in a lot, at the pace you choose.

    About individual therapy
  • A woman at a kitchen table with a laptop, a mug and a notebook
    From home

    By voice or video

From home in South Carolina, with the camera on, off, or a plain phone call.

Questions

Three questions about sessions

What happens in the first session?

You talk with Lidia, at your pace, about what you would like from counseling and what to turn down in the room: light, sound, pauses. She explains how sessions work, and nothing happens that is not explained first.

How often will I come, and for how long?

You and Lidia decide together. Sessions are 30, 50 or 80 minutes, and how far apart they are can change as your weeks change.

Are you licensed where I live?

Lidia is licensed in South Carolina. For a session by voice or video, you need to be in South Carolina at the time. If you are somewhere else, we cannot see you, and we can talk about who might.

Ready to ask for a quieter hour?

Write with the times that suit you, and tell us what to turn down. Your fee comes to you in writing first.
