Individual therapy

Individual therapy for adults who feel a lot

Sessions about what you notice, what wears you out and how to build a life with more quiet in it, one adult at a time.

Who it is for

  • Adults who take in a lot: noise, moods, a full calendar

  • Introverts who want a counselor who does not rush

  • People who would like to work in English, Spanish or both

What sessions are like, and what they are not

  • What sessions look like

You talk, and Lidia listens and asks. There is no form to fill in the room and no homework unless you ask for some.

  • The method

Talk therapy that follows your lead. Lidia draws on mindfulness and acceptance-based practices when you want them, and names each one before you try it.

  • What this is not

It is not crisis care, a diagnosis, medication or couples or family therapy. Lidia does not prescribe.

Length and frequency

You and Lidia set the pace

  • How long

Sessions are 30, 50 or 80 minutes. Many people start with 50 and change it as their weeks change.

  • How often

Your counselor sets the pace with you. No number of sessions is promised, and you can pause at any time.

  • How it is paid

Each fee is given in writing before you start.

Questions

Three questions about therapy

Do I need to know what I want to work on?

No. Many people start by describing what a week feels like, and the work takes shape from there.

Will I have to talk the whole time?

No. Pauses are welcome, and a session can include quiet.

Can sessions be in Spanish?

Yes. Lidia sees clients in English, in Spanish, or in both.

Ready to start at your own pace?

Write with the times that suit you. Your fee comes to you in writing first.
